Jason Knight named captain of Bristol City
Our very own Jason Knight has been named captain of Bristol City.
Jason joined the English Championship club from Derby FC only 13 months ago and very quickly established himself as a key member of the first team and a fan favourite.
Knight said: “It’s a great honour to be named captain of this club, and I’m looking forward to the season ahead.
“We’ve got a great group of lads here and I am excited for what we can achieve together.”
The young kid from Ballybrack, began his football career at Cabinteely FC, before moving to the UK in 2017 to progress his professional career with Derby FC.
Jason is the son of Paul and Anita, who are both key members of Cabinteely FC and have been integral to the growth and success of the club over many years.
Congratulations Jason, as we continue to admire and watch your progression from the TV screens in Kilbogget Park.
