Cabinteely FC v Galway United Match Preview

Cabinteely FC Press Release

Team News vs Galway United
Stradbrook
SSE Airtricity League First Division
Monday September 21, 2020
7.45 p.m.

Cabinteely return to Stradbrook on Monday for the first of back to back home matches in five days against Galway United and Wexford FC.

MANAGEMENT TEAM VIEW

Approaching the business end of the season, Cabinteely Director of Football Pat Devlin is looking ahead to the double-header.

“They are going to be two very similar games. We beat Galway earlier in the season. But since John Caulfield has gone in there, Galway are a very good team and very difficult to beat. So, it’s going to be tough.”

He continued “Wexford – against us – is always a tough game. It’s a big week for us. Hopefully, we achieve our aim of six points. It’s not going to be an easy run-in from now until the end of the season.”

REFEREE

Mark Moynihan will take charge of the fixture with Chris Campbell and Conor Fitzgibbon being the assistants. Alan Carey is the fourth official.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS

The clubs met for the first time in league action back in 2018. And have faced each other seven times in total.

Galway have won four matches; Cabo have earned two victories with the other tie being drawn.

In July of this year, goals in each period at Eamonn Deacy Park by Kevin Knight and Shane Barnes gave Cabo all three points.
