Rhys Knight signs for Bristol City

Everyone at Cabinteely FC is immensely proud to see former schoolboy player Rhys Knight take the next step in his football journey after signing for Bristol City FC.

Rhys began his footballing career right here at Cabinteely, developing his skills and love for the game through our schoolboy ranks. From early training sessions to competitive underage fixtures, his dedication, attitude and natural ability were evident.

He represented the club with pride and fully embraced the values that define Cabinteely football.

Following his time with us, Rhys progressed through the academy system at our partner club Bray Wanderers FC, where he continued to develop and gain valuable senior experience.

His performances at League of Ireland level marked him out as one of the country’s most promising young midfielders and paved the way for this exciting move to England.

Adding to the proud family connection, Rhys now joins his brother Jason Knight, who captains the Bristol City first team. It’s a remarkable achievement for the Knight family and a fantastic story of two brothers making their mark at the same club.
