Farewell to Cathal Gillen, RIP

Sad news about a former longstanding member
It is with great sadness that we learn of the untimely death of a former member and goalkeeper Cathal Gillen.

Cathal represented Cabinteely FC for over ten years with distinction, beginning with our U-9s, all the way to U-18, National U-19, and senior League of Ireland teams.

Cathal’s Dad, Ian, is also well known and respected in the club as he helped to manage his underage team, as Dads often do, all the way through Cathal’s younger years with us.

Cathal will be greatly missed by his many friends within the club.
