CABINTEELY FC PRESS RELEASE

Cabinteely FC very much regrets the cancellation of tonight’s SSE Airtricity League First Division fixture against Galway United.

This decision – taken by the Board of Cabinteely FC – followed protracted discussions with the HSE and the FAI.

Based on guidance from the HSE and information available, and in the interest of public health and safety, Cabinteely FC made a decision that the fixture should not take place.

Cabinteely FC can confirm that the correct protocols and procedures have been followed throughout.

We would like to apologise to Galway United, their players, management and club officials as well as all officials for the inconvenience caused by the late cancellation.

We thank everybody for their understanding.
