For only the second time since the start of June, Cabinteely return to Stradbrook for SSE Airtricity League First Division action against Athlone Town.

MANAGEMENT TEAM VIEW

Despite fine team displays against UCD and Shelbourne, Cabinteely did not have anything to show that their efforts probably deserved.
But First team coach Collie O’Neill is hopeful that can all change on Friday against Athlone.
“We had really good performances in our last two games. But we were disappointed not to have any points on the board from them.”
He went on to say “We just have to continue that standard of play. So, hopefully the points will come. Athlone are a good side. We know the dangers that they have. It is up to us to do our jobs and nullify that; to see what we can do at the opposite end.”

TEAM NEWS

Defender Andy O’Brien (knee) and goalkeeper Adam Hayden (hand) remain out.
But the club have signed custodian Michael Quinn who was mostly recently at Newbridge Town.

REFEREE

Kevin O’Sullivan will take charge of the fixture with Darren Carey and Brian Fenton being the assistants. Gavin Colfer is fourth official.
