Cabinteely make a first visit to Tallaght Stadium for a competitive game on Friday to take on Shamrock Rovers II.

In a busy period for the club, it is the first of three matches in eight days before back to back home fixtures at Stradbrook against Galway United and Wexford FC.

MANAGEMENT TEAM VIEW

With a tough schedule ahead of games in quick succession, Cabinteely Director of Football Pat Devlin will be looking to turn around the teams’ recent fortunes.

“I know it’s a cliché. But we will take one game at a time. Rovers are going to be tough. They have some very good players. We will approach the game in a positive mood. Hopefully, we can get a positive result,” he said.

TEAM NEWS

The club has several injury concerns to contend with. But are working to have a few players back to fitness.

REFEREE

Gavin Colfer will take charge of the fixture with Brian Fenton and Alan Dunne being the assistants. Sean Grant is the fourth official.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS

The two teams have only met once previously.

That came at Stradbrook back in March 2020 when Shane Barnes’ injury time header sealed all three points for Cabo in a 1-0 success.
