Match Report – Cabinteely FC U13C1 1 Mount Merrion 0

Cabinteely welcomed their local rivals Mount Merrion to Kilbogget Park for an early Saturday morning kick-off in the DDSL Derby.

The hosts started on the front foot and played some lovely football. The visitors soaked up the early pressure. But the White and Green’s could only shoot from distance and never really threatened the opposition rearguard.

The second half saw the home side come out flying. A super cross on the right by Sam Balfe was met by Jayden Knight who made sure from close in. 

In truth, Cabo dominated proceedings, while the Blue’s created their own chances. 

There were some excellent performances on the home team, particularly Evan Groarke who looked very comfortable at left-back.

At right-back, they have the ever-reliable Josh Holland. He epitomizes the work ethic of this team and once again like the postman…. he always delivers!.
