U17 Pre-season – Athlone Town 1; Cabinteely FC 2

 Two second half goals saw Cabinteely FC’s U17 EA SPORTS National Underage League team claim a 2-1 away victory over Athlone Town on Sunday morning in a pre-season friendly.

The team trailed 1-0 to the Midlanders at the break but rallied brilliantly after the turnaround at the Athlone Town Stadium (Lissywollen).

Gavin Doyle and Daniel Chukwu found the net for the White and Green to seal the comeback back.

Julian Connolly’s charges begin their 2021 season at home to Carlow/Kilkenny on Saturday, June 26.
